Tour Plan

Day 1: Brasov – Diham cottage – Poiana Marului (120 km, 80% off road)
After meeting you on Saturday evening (Day 0) with a welcome dinner and overnight included in a nice pension close to Brasov, will start in Day 1 the 4×4 adventure with a nice off road trip to Diham Cottage, having opportunity to see the Teeth of Drakula. On our way, we cross gorgeous landscapes with magnificent views over the Bucegi Mountains. After that, you will explore off road Poiana Marului area, a fairytale place with breathtaking views. Moreover, enjoy a coffee break in front of the amazing landscapes. Overnight in 3/4 * pension/hotel in Poiana Marului.

Day 2 Traditional Villages – Bran Castle – Fundatica – Vidraru Dam (180 km, 40% off road)
Drive to Zarnesti and take a breath of fresh mountain air while walking through Canyon of Zarnesti, the scenery of “Cold Mountain” movie. Further, you`ll travel off road through the rolling hills of Magura and Pestera authentic villages. After that, you`ll visit the famous Bran (Dracula’s) Castle, also known as the home of Dracula`s spirit. While driving through stunning landscapes of the Bran Pass, reach the highest traditional village from Romania, Fundatica. From there, we will drive through Bradetu canyon to get to Vidraru Dam, a huge construction made in 1966 by the communist regime. Overnight in 4 * hotel , close by Vidraru Dam.

Day 3 Transfagarasan Road – Sadu – Voineasa (220 km, 25% off road)
In the morning we drive on Transfagarasan route while enjoying amazing views over Fagaras Mountains. The Top Gear team stated Transfagarasan road ”the best road in the world”. We stop at Balea Lake, a natural glacier lake at 2040 m. From the top of the ridge we will discover beautiful sceneries of the mountains surrounding us. Crossing the Fagaras Mountains into Transylvania, we will cross Sadu and after a nice off road will get to Voineasa. Overnight in 3/4 * pension/hotel , close by Voineasa.

Day 4 Voineasa – Latorita - Strategica – Transalpina - Pasul Urdele - Huluzu - Jiet (150 km, 60% off road)
After breakfast we start our drive to the highest road in Romania - Transalpina Road. This is the road on top of the Romanian Mountains, known as 'King's Road' or 'The Devil's Pathway, crossing the Parang Mountains from North to South. On the way we will drive along the ridge of mountains, cross the beautiful passes and enjoy breathtaking scenery. We will have a coffee break on the mountaintop admiring spectacular view of Vidra Lake. Driving further, we arrive in Huluzu with amazing view over Parang Mountains, an area where you`ll discover a pastoral world with its quaint settlements and calm lifestyle. Overnight in 3/4 * pension/hotel in Jiet area.

Day 5 Jiet – Bolii Cave – Oslea Mountains – Tulisa– Valea Jiuluii (120 km, 70% off road)
Today, you will visit beautiful cave "Pestera Bolii"  and drive off road into amazing  Oslea Mountains, lost in off the beaten tracks with spectacular view over mountains. Will change the area to get in Tulisa Mountains and visit a traditional and authentic shepherd house, tasting cheese and polenta. Will finish the 4×4 adventures for today with overnight in 3/4 * pension/hotel , close by  Balea de Brazi - Valea Jiului area.

Day 6: Valea de Brazi – Fundatura Ponorului - Poiana Omului - Sarmizegetusa Regia - Hunedoara/Deva (160 km, 80% off road)
Today will follow the tracks of people from Dacia, into unique National Park Grădiștea Muncelului – Cioclovina. Start the day by exploring the magnificent Fundatura Ponorului translated as The end of Ponor or "God's Palm", as this area is also known, is the place where time seems to have frozen. Then, you`ll visit Poiana Omului from Sureanu Mountains, where the remains of the most famous Dacian fortresses are located, impress their guests not only through the numerous archaeological sites that litter them, but also through some spectacular places Will end the trip visiting the second capital of the Dacian kingdom, as historians say, Sarmizegetusa Regia ( the royal one), that is the largest known settlement in Dacia. From here our tour will end and you will drive close to Hunedoara.
